ALLEN; Henry

Allen apparently arrived in VDL aboard a vessel recorded as the Lang (date unknown) presumably from NSW as he is shown as being a free convict.  On 13 March 1876, he was charged with being Idle & Disorderly at New Norfolk.  Found guilty he was sentenced to 1 Month in gaol.  He arrived in Hobart on 16 March and is shown as being 86 years of age and his warrant number 11380.  Allen was a carpenter, Protestant with no prior convictions and literate.  He died on 8 August 1876 at the Cascades Depot.  (Cause Unknown.)
