ARBER; William

Arber arrived in VDL on 8 November 1842 aboard the Marquis of Hastings from London as a convict.  On 15 December 1885, he was found guilty in the HSC of Attempting Sodomy and sentenced to 7 Years gaol.  He is shown as being 78 years of age and his warrant number was 15991.  Arber was a labourer; Protestant with one prior conviction and could only read.  He died at CSG on 30 May 1886.  (Cause unknown.)
