DALEY; Patrick
Daley (transported as Patrick Hindley) arrived in VDL on 12 October 1845 aboard the Lady Franklin from Norfolk Island as a free settler. On the 13 February 1868 he was found guilty of Buggary and sentenced to Life (a commutation). He was returned to CSG from the Cascades Depot on 19 December 1876 aged 64 years. Daley is shown as being a blacksmith, Catholic with three or more prior convictions and could read and write. He died at CSG at 6:55 p.m. on 27 December 1877. (Cause unknown.)
