FOX; William

Fox was convicted of Larceny on 11 August 1881 and was sentenced to 3 Months in gaol.  The listings show that he was found guilty at Oatlands and arrived at CSG on 16 August 1881.  Fox was 61 years of age and his warrant number was 13973.  There is no occupation shown but he was a Protestant with three or more prior convictions and could read and write.  Fox had arrived in VDL on 16 December 1852 aboard the Equestrian 3 as a free settler from Plymouth.  He died at CSG at 9 40 p.m. on 29 September 1881.  (Cause unknown.)
