GIBSON; Alexander aka DIXON; Alexander

Gibson was 73 years of age when he appeared in court on 28 April 1885 charged with Obtaining Goods by False Pretences.  Found guilty he was sentenced to 2 Years gaol.  His warrant number was 15747.  Gibson was a stockbroker, Protestant with three or more prior convictions and was literate.  He had arrived in VDL on 4 March 1846 aboard the Flinders presumably from NSW.  Gibson died at CSG at 8 15 a.m. on 28 October 1886.  (Cause unknown.)
