McCORMICK; James

McCormick arrived in VDL on 19 March 1851 as a free settler aboard the Hydrabad 3 from Kingston, Ireland.  At the age of 89 years, he was found guilty at Franklin on 9 February 1887 of being Idle & Disorderly and sentenced to 1 Month in gaol.  He arrived at CSG the following day and his warrant number was 16624.  McCormick was a labourer, Catholic with three or more prior convictions and was illiterate.  He died at CSG on 25 February 1887.  (Cause unknown.)
